Ferries and Highspeed catamaran services run daily from Piraeus, Rafina, Cyclades and Heraklion – Crete island. The schedules are particularly frequent during the summer months. The prices of tickets depend on the type of ship that you will select. With ferry boat that departs from Piraeus, the ticket is cheaper and the travel lasts 5 hours, while with “highspeed” boats, that leave from Piraeus, the ticket is more expensive and the travel lasts 3 hours.
Most frequent lines are Pireaus (2h 55m – 5h), Rafina – which is near the Athens airport (2h 35min – 4h 50m ), Thira/Santorini ( 1h 45m – 3h 15m), Mykonos (35m – 1h 20m), Syros (1h 05m) and Naxos (25m – 50m)
There are also frequent boat connections with other Cycladic Islands: Andros, Siros, Tinos, Mikonos, Sifnos, Naxos, Ios, Amorgos and Santorini, some of the Dodecanese Islands and Crete.
